About Us
With a vision of " Cooking Like Companies Coming " owner Todd Gouge has dedicated over the past 40 years to serving McDowell County with delicious Fried Chicken and Fish. Todd started out as working as a cook when GFC was Holly Farms from 1977-1979 then became manager in 1980 until 1985. In 1985 Golden Fried Chicken which was a company store bought Holly Farms. When 1991 came around Todd purchased Golden Fried Chicken and the rest is Fried Chicken History. With the expansion of our in door sitting, adding a pick up window and starting our catering business, GFC has become one of McDowell County favorite restaurants. We love helping our customers the best we can by offering senior discounts and discounts to large groups and churches. Working as a team and striving to serve great food and great service at great prices is what has made us successful!
